Desi's Statement on Shortages at Local Fire Departments

Desi Anderson, Candidate for State Senate in the 46th District has released a statement on local fire departments struggling to find workers:

“It’s no surprise that fire departments are struggling to find firefighters as Democrats continue to turn their backs on first responders across the state. Democrats talk about safety while defunding the police, which pushes people away from joining the various other first responder departments. Young adults entering the workforce would rather take a remote job where they can be on Zoom all day and travel rather than a critical in-person job such as being a firefighter and serving the community. As a State Senator I will always support first responders, and I will back legislation that motivates people to work instead of being paid to stay home.”  - Desi Anderson, Candidate for State Senate in the 46th District
